If fact, we’ve been told by a bunch of the top Grill Masters that our rub is the one they use when they’re competing for awards. Heck, they say it’s so darn good it’d even make a dead Chupacabra taste great!
Now that’s a compliment … and the badge of honor stuck. It’s how we became known as 2 Gringos Chupacabra Rub, Chupacabra Cajun Blend, Chupacabra Salsa, Chupacabra Chips, Chupacabra Sausage and Chupacabra Marinade (or Marigate as they say in Louisiana). That’s “Chupy,” our Chupacabra mascot there on the label.
So what the heck’s a Chupacabra? Well, it’s an ornery little mythical creature they say wanders around the Caribbean, South America, through Mexico and up into parts of Texas. It basically chases around cattle and such. The legend’s been past down for generations. You know, Chupacabra's might be walking around with Big Foot. Everybody talks about them, but nobody has ever actually caught one.
But remember this – you can use our rub on any meat, chicken, wild game, fish, veggies – or even popcorn – and it’ll be great! And people tell us all the time our chips and salsa are the best they’ve ever had. The most common comment we get is “we put it on everything.”
The main thing you need to know about 2 Gringos Chupacabra products is we’re so good because we only use the finest ingredients and never, ever take short cuts when it comes to quality.
